JapanStones
A very hard shiro or white suita stone from the deepest strata of the mine complex. This stone can be used with just clear water if you are a skilled sharpener. With the addition of a slurry made with a nagura this stone immediately becomes a faster cutter and much
easier to use. The color is a pale white with a blush of pink and it is just full of renge.
When the stone is wet it assumes a more colorful appearance with deep yellows coming
to the fore.

There is a lot going on in the surface of this stone, long running solid inclusion, concentrated silica pockets or super cutting grit, flecks of renge in red and darker umber.
